WELCOME
Our Vision
We wish to introduce The Academy for Life.. The Academy is a comprehensive residential and training facility for at risk and homeless young men with a growth capability to eventually offer a similar track for young women. Students will be accepted into the Academy from approximately age 18 up to age 21. The Academy will provide a living, working and learning environment for young men to grow and thrive in order to recover from their troubled backgrounds.
Our Master Plan
We plan to accept the first six students/residents/member by June of 2022. It will take four years for our mentoring system to be fully initiated. This is the point where there are three mentoring levels and the residents will be able to run many of the programs with the guidance of staff advisers and directors. (Our mentoring system is explained further in Our Programs tab). It will take another five+ years for our master plan to be completed.
Our Needs
This is a large undertaking that cannot be fully developed and funded by a small group of people like us. We are open to any suggestions from others with expertise or ideas.
Our Team
We are a group of professionals and entrepreneurs. We have come together to create the Academy for Life program that will take at-risk and homeless young adults from a life of struggle and dependency to a life of success and independence. We see a great need in the United States to offer an alternative to a traditional system of education and life skills that often fails some young men and women. We feel that this program is a dream come true for many young people who otherwise would fall through the cracks. We know there is a tremendous need for this kind of program that will take boys (and eventually girls) from a troubled childhood to self-sufficiency in adulthood.
